Well, this link http://www.camqueenoftheyear.com/ just got my attention and I was scrolling the gallery of girls who posted their before and after makeup pics.
The contest prize is pretty tempting, $SGD5000!!
But well, you know what, I can't remember when's the last time I seriously sat down to apply makeup. Not in a long time. I can attribute the laziness to various reasons: No clubbing activity, No formal prom night or wedding dinners, No need to impress anyone out there (Sorry dear, gotta let you see my huang lian po face 24hr!), No energy to devote myself to the long makeup process, and most importantly, I guess I would rather spend time with my baby, being naturally who I am. Can you imagine me having thick foundation, glossy lips, fake lashes on and carrying baby in my arms? It would be so hard to put my face on her face or ask her to kiss me! Wahaha. PS: I do that ALL THE TIME. =)
Don't get me wrong. I don't dislike makeup. In fact, I think it's good to doll up once in awhile (like I said in a previous blog entry) and go party and make yourself feel good about yourself. =) Hee. It's just that I don't spend money buying those expensive cosmetics and go check up makeup tips and keep up with all the Japan/ Taiwanese fashion makeup trends etc etc. It's just not my thing, be it being a mummy or not.
So yeah, good luck to the participants while I decide to stay away, stay home, and be the happy plain Jane mum that I am. Who cares, my hubby and my baby love me for who I am. =)
