I picked my first ever strawberries last Sunday. Woohoo!! Love eating strawberries recently cos' they say it helps baby to develop rosy cheeks. Keke. It was a hot, sunny day and just nice for strawberry picking! Thanks to David and Yanqin for bringing us to this place. Hee.
Luckily we had this picnic bag in the car, cos' we didn't know you were supposed to bring your own containers here. Lucky lucky! We could put much more than enough for the two of us to eat.
So glad we wore caps. Hee. The sunlight was soooo strong today! But well, I still enjoyed every bit of the session. Hee. We would love to bring popo here, but too bad they only open up till July. Boohoo. Well well. But thanks for letting us bring home so many strawberries at just 24kr!! =) Yummy!!
R&R in Kiel, Germany
It was a good decision for me to go to Kiel with jw. One week of rest and relax, eating, reading and shopping! Much better than staying home alone, not knowing what to do, what to cook, what to watch on tv.. =) And yeah as many people advised, while we can still travel easily without kids, we should! Before the baby comes out and we need to bring a whole lot of barang barang whenever we step out of the house..
While the rest stayed in apartments, jw and I stayed in this room. Can you imagine, it's a single room!!! Waha. It was warm, cosy and nice. The floor was carpeted, the toilet was clean and so were the sheets. I guess that was more than what was needed, right?
So, the two of us, or rather, three of us (plus bb) slept on a single bed for 5 nights. It wasn't even super single, but single single! Waha. But after the first two nights, we sort of got used to it. Well, save $$$! Ji ji yi tang, not that bad too.
Here is jw and the super adorable Claris. She's really bubbly, pretty and chatty! So happy she's one of my students and that she is learning fast now. =) Oh and how I like her rosy cheeks! Hee.
Yummy lunch! Jw ate a super big pig's trotter while I ate chicken chop. Food was good here, and not very expensive too. I kinda love their lifestyle. They can just drink beer, listen to music, enjoy a good long lunch or dinner, and even get up to dance around when the music starts! We saw some old ladies who had all white hair but were so spontaneous to dance around! WOW. Oh by the way, the beer is cheaper than Coke here. Or any other drink. Too bad I had to stick to non alcoholic drinks.
This is Baby Cayden, who seemed to love my Kotora stuff toy. Keke. He even gave it a kiss. =) So cute. It was nice to spend one whole week with Karen and her darling Claris and Cayden. And see for myself how tough and tiring it can be to handle kids. Not a moment of rest. When you go shopping, you also shop for the kids and not for yourself anymore. Somemore, you can't let them out of your sight. All your energy, sweat, effort, attention, time and patience must be devoted to the kids. Fwahhhh. Really not easy to be a mummy.
But well, at one time or another in your life, you will wanna settle down, won't you? No more frequent night out at the clubs, no more movie marathons, no more weekend all-through-the-night mahjong, no more I-can-go-wherever-I-want and do-whatever-I-want lifestyles, no more er ren shi jie. Instead, it will be time spent changing diapers, making milk, coaxing the baby to sleep, talking to the baby, bathing and cleaning the baby, washing and tidying the house everyday. Waha. What a change. Well. I hope I am ready for it at the age of 26. I hope so. Seeing lovely Claris makes my heart warm a little. Doesn't she look cute on the pony? Hee.
One evening after dinner, we were supposed to go for a evening walk cos' I really really ate too much.Waha. But well, instead of walking on normal paths, my darling wanted to walk through this wheat field with narrow walking lanes flooded with snails, snails and more snails. The snails here are black and do not have shells, making me so afraid of stepping on them. Grrrr. So tough to walk!
But well, sometimes you just gotta venture out of the ordinary. It was still a good walk after all and we took some nice pics. I doubt I stepped on any snails in the end because it took me like ten seconds to take one step. Haha. Saw so many baby snails, just didn't wanna hurt them in the least.
There, the sunlight was beaming on us and it felt warm and nice. =)
Woooo and on our last night we went town for shopping! Bought some BB stuff from Zara Baby which were rather cheap. First clothes for our dear baby! Well, we had to stick to white colour for now cos' we don't know the gender yet. Hee. But white looks nice anyway. BB, you have nice prezzies waiting for ya!!
Oh we bought both blue and pink socks. Waha. Cute. Doesn't matter if a boy wears pink or a girl wears blue in the end right? That will make him or her special. Hehe. Baby clothes are so kawaii! Oh and baby brought us luck at playing roulette! Rookies like us could actually hit the lucky number several times. Must be baby and lady luck. Hehe. =)
And on our way back home, we stopped at copenhagen for some yummy KFC. Hee. Although they don't have crispy but only have original, but well, it was still good right? Hee. Just that it's like over double the price in s'pore. I am so going to eat KFC next week. Wahaha.
Oh well, no internet connect in our houses in s'pore, so I might be back in action only in end July when I come back to Karlskrona. And within a week, popo and ah yi will be here with us! SO EXCITING!!!! Hee. Tata!!
