This probably was the best and my favourite shot of all. Hehe. Wish Angel was smiling like us too! But well, at least she's looking at the camera. Hehe. Oh, initally jw couldn't find his rainbow shirt which he felt was retro, and he wanted to wear his big black dai gor dai overcoat. Fwah. I told him that was Old Shanghai already, not Retro. Hehe. Well, maybe one day we'll do the Shanghai theme! In the end I picked out this pink shirt (can't really see it's pink!), folded up his collar and gave him my shades. Hee.
Photoshoots are fun! I love them! Hehe. Tata!

The rainbow after the rain...
I don't know why but I suddenly thought about this topic. It's been long since I blogged about any of my thoughts on life, right? Recently, it's always been about Angel, Angel and more Angel! Haha. Well, I can't help it. She takes up 24 hours of my time each day (well, nearly!).
Anyway, I was just thinking about the rainbow after the rain. Yeah. I can't really describe what I actually mean, but it's something like how the rainbow seems exceptionally beautiful after a heavy, dreaded downpour. It's like, the rain is there to make us feel the beauty of the rainbow and thus why do we hate the rain?
Or, you can think about it as the bitter sweet theory. If without the bitter taste buds, how else could we actually learn to appreciate sweetness? Without the tears, why would the laughter seem so happy? Without the pain, how would we know how joyous joy can be?
That's what I feel about life. It can't be all smooth sailing, but the downs are there for you to learn to overcome and then to appreciate the ups. I kinda believe that everything in life happens for a reason, so don't go about moaning about "Why did this have to happen to me?" when it already did. Maybe fate chose you for a reason.
So, the thing is, when I look back on my life, I kind of actually feel glad and thankful and happy that this has been my life. I've had my fair share of ups and downs, but all I know now is that I've had a splendid life. I learnt the meaning of 知足常乐 since I was very young and it's somewhat like my life motto. On my fairytale wedding night, when I gave my impromptu speech, I remembered looking at my parents and saying "我要感谢我的父母, 因为虽然我们不是很富有,可是一路来我都觉得自己像个公主."
Yeah, back to my point, I think that the rain is there for a reason. Haha. It's like child bearing, how the 9 months of pregnancy and the pain of delivery makes you wanna love and protect your little one for the rest of your life. How that pain makes that special moment when she pops out so happy and touching beyond any words can describe. Keke. Yeah. Maybe a bad analogy, but you get my point.
So maybe, we should just embrace all the bad and the good in our lives. Never wish that you were somebody else, because face it, you are you and will always be you, so just make the most out of your life. Maybe somewhere out there, someone else is wishing they could be you!
That said, I love my life! My hubby, my baby, my mummy daddy, my everybody!! Thank you for making me ME!!

Angel's new video..
There, I finally used the song 天使 in Angel's video. =) I had always loved it because I think that the lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful.
像孩子依赖着肩膀
像眼泪依赖着脸庞
你就像天使一样
给我依赖 给我力量
像诗人依赖着月亮
像海豚依赖海洋
你是天使 你是天使
你是我最初和最后的天堂
Feels just so right to sing to my baby. Hehe. I really liked this video, and it's my first video that made jw giggle and laugh so much. Hee. He liked the sour expression and gek sai expression part. =) Think they will really be very memorable for us and dear angel to look back on when she turns older. Hee.
A friend was telling me today she thought angel grew so much fatter! Wahaha. Well, what can I say. I totally agree. Hee. But as usual, better to eat than not to eat. Just hope she can get over her constipation soon. It seems to really be hurting her alot. Sobz.
Oh btw, we will be flying back to SG next sunday! Fwahhh.. Very soon! Gotta start packing all the barang barang liaoz. =) Looking forward to the good and cheap food, fun shopping, new places of interest (Universal Studio and the casinoes!), and most importantly, the family and friends. Hope my easily-perspire baby can tahan the sunny weather! Tata!

Yum Yum!!
Our little precious sure can EATTTTT!!!
Yeah, we concluded she's a huge eater after seeing how much and how fast she gobbles her food, after talking to our mums who were surprised at how much she eats, and after talking with friends who have babies too and who said angel eats more than them though she's the youngest!
For her record, she has already accomplised the below (each in one dinner serving):
- A whole rice bowl of porridge (and our rice bowls at home are bigger than the normal ones!) I cook normally 1/4 cups of rice for her =) which is somehow more than some girl friends I know!
- A whole sweet potato coupled with chicken and some milk (yesh, one whole sweet potato!)
- Two white potatoes with green peas and carrots (some babies eat 1 potato only, but she eats 2!)
- A whole big jar of Nestle baby food (the entire jar!! plus dessert after!)
Yeah yeah. That's examples of what she has for dinner, which is not including the fact that she eats cereal/brown rice in the morning, followed by fruit/biscuit/snacks in between and she also still drinks milk bout 3-4 times daily. Hehe. Jw is astounded when he sees how much baby eats. Keke.
We are of cos happy though. Better to be a big eater than to be one who rejects food right? Some say she takes after us, since jw and I are quite big carbo and rice eaters. Hee. Cheers baby!! May your appetite continue to grow and grow!!

Happy Birthday Dear!!
Yeah, so jw turned 31 last week! This year seemed to have really flown past. I can clearly remember this very day last year where I was still preggie and made roasted pork rice for lunch, baked an apple crumble, had steamboat and tepanyaki at home with friends and then played pictionary till past midnight to celebration dear's 30th bday. And now, he's one year older!!! Fwahhhh!! =)
Same as on my bday, what makes this day really special is Angel's presence. Hee. Amazing. Last year, I was still telling jw that a year from then, he will have a 6 month old baby celebrating his bday for him. And here we are!!! With an adorable half a year old baby angel!! Life's really happy and complete when you have your family beside you, isn't it?
Anyway, to celebrate this special day, we had ang zao mee sua at home, followed by a cut cake ceremony, then a walk by the lake, then steamboat at friend's house complete with yummy food, exciting movies, fun games and lotsa laughter.
At the lake, we fed the swans, seagulls and sparrows with lotsa bread. Hmm. Hopefully we didn't harm them cos the bread was expired!! *oops* They seemed to devour the bread with enthusiasm though. Waha. Angel was sleeping peacefully in her stroller while we fed the animals, and it just felt like a so simple, but very warm and happy afternoon.
After that, we proceeded to Zhuo Kong Tong's house for dinner. Hee. That's what's written on their door. Well. It was the house of Bob, Kester and Gerald. We had a nice steamboat coupled with lotsa lotsa balls while watching Jackie Chan's new movie "The Spy Next Door" on TV. Followed by that was another cake celebration for jw. Wooo, and Priyah also baked a yummy blueberry pie!
And then, after spending over an hour to coax little baby angel to zzzz (on Uncle Kester's bed), we could finally play some games. It was nearly 11pm already! Haha. We started off with Taboo (the singapore version), followed by our favourite Pictionary (using charades only) and ended off with the new game 上梁不正下梁歪 which basically is a playdoh moulding game, and as a group, the first person has to mould an object in 40 sec while the second person watches, then pass on to the third person etc and then the last person has to guess the object. All 3 games were really fun!!
It was really kinda funny as we watched the objects go haywire and out of shape, for instance the strawberry above which became into a dinosaur lookalike. Keke.
And well, we actually played and played till past 2.30am. Hehe. Angel was kind to zzz for over 4 hours in a shot in an unfamiliar environment on an unfamiliar bed. Woohoo. So both of us could participate in the games. Hee. We eventually had to wake her up and then 3 of us walked home in the wee hours of the night. Hee.
Alrite. Baby's crying now so I gotta end my long story. Hee. Last but not least, here's what jw got for his presents from me this year. Hee. A decorated photoframe that contains Mummy, Daddy and Baby pics and specically made mugs with Angel photos! Actually, only the beer mug was meant for him. Waha. So he could see Angel and think of her whenever he drinks. =) It's Angel's smiling pic too, which jw loves. Hee.
That's all for now. Hope jw had a great and wonderful 31st bday. Till the next year where Angel will be one and a half year old!! Woho!! Love ya dear!
