Singapore, my homeland..
Well, I'm finally back on my blog! Yow know, the long break in sg and the cruise kinda made me lost my momentum blogging and worse, doing my monthly videos for Angel. It's been 2 months since my last baby vid! Uh oh. Sorry baby.
Anyway, yesh, so we went back to homeland for a whole month in July! It was the first time Angel saw Singapore. And boy, has it changed much from the last time I remember it! So many new tourist spots everywhere. From RWS to MBS to Helix Bridge to Marina Barrage etc. I really felt like a tourist! Waha. Not bad, we contributed to the tourism spend in sg. Took my family to take the Singapore Flyer, took Angel to the Night Safari, contributed $$$ at the casino in RWS. Waha. We even went to walk the Helix Bridge, twice. Once with jw's family and once with my family. Keke. And we almost went inside Universal Studios too.

But guess what? The first time we went RWS, the tickets to Universal were sold out! How popular! Anyway it was raining so it was probably not a good day. We also reckon that Angel is too small for most of the rides, if not all, so maybe it'll be better to bring her there when she gets older. My sis-in-law told me that Universal will be open on Fri and Sat nites for a mere entry fee of $5 for you to visit the Hollywood area to take pics. It sounded very good and I would love to take Angel there. But well, it was too rush for us eventually on our last weekend and we missed it. Boo.

My mummy, who felt rich after striking $500 in Toto, treated us to a ride on board Flyer. Oh well, so what if it isn't really a new attraction, none of us had ever been on it. Waha. We kinda enjoyed the half an hour ride listening to all the explanation on the Singapore architecture and design and how it links to fengshui. Really different experience in comparison to the London Eye. The sg accent of the narrators makes me feel much more at home. Keke. That said, I realised that Singapore is really pretty! Did you watch NDP and see the night view? Really magnificent, for a small island.

Then on one Sat night, jw and I brought Angel to the night safari. I kinda wanted to bring her to the zoo instead, but our time table for weekends was kinda too packed with friends and family gatherings and we could barely squeeze out time to do what I had wanted to do. Still, the short trip to the night safari was nice. Not much pics taken though since it's so dark and anyway photography is prohibited. At least, it's a been there done that thing. =) I can't count how many times jw and I have come here already. At least 3 or 4!
We bought a new stroller for Angel! The ever popular Maclaren. Thank goodness for it, cos' I probably wouldn't even be able to squeeze onto the mrt had we brought our big and bulky sweden stroller over. This compact and foldable pink stroller will come in handy on holiday trips (like the cruise)! And it was already well used in sg. Hee. Thanks to mummy for buying Angel this $250 stroller. I love the pink apple design though it wasn't the newest model. =)

It's quite true that a leopard may never change its spots. Though we have a baby, jw and I still took turns to go check out the casino at RWS. I mean, you must have a look, right? Singapore has casinoes! And if you look, you might as well play. Wahaha. Can't really believe that the minimum bets are so high in sg! Fwah, we were amazed. And also, unlucky. Keke. Oh well. At least we were very very lucky on the cruise casino. =) That's another story altogether. Anyway, I think, it's better to be a couple who both loves to gamble or be a couple who both dislikes gambling rather than have one of each. Makes communication much easier. Of cos, don't be a du3 gui3 which is never ever a good thing.

Side track, I just handled an absolutely drunk man who is lying flat in my living room now. Can't walk. I practically dragged him like a sandbag from the toilet to the living room. I felt like Wonder Woman. Luckily Angel trains my arm power. But well, damn it. It's Deja Vu!! And again, fed the sandbag honey water with difficulty and helped him puke. Worse thing this time, he couldn't aim properly and he puked onto my toilet carpet. And then he puked in the living room. Sigh. And then baby was awakened and started crying. There goes my agony again. =( And my already quit smoking hubby suddenly had cigarettes in his pocket. Makes me wonder for how long he has been deceiving. I wouldn't have seen it if he didn't puke on his trousers and shirt and I had to remove them for him. Sigh. Watever. Tired of all this. Tomorrow will be a better day. I wish it didn't have to happen this way though.

Back to my happy story, so I brought Angel to meet alot of friends. Hee. She was really nice and sweet and she let most, if not all, of them carry her around and play with her. She may be a bit cranky in the first few moments when I pass her to others, but she gets over it easily and then becomes friends with my friends. I like it that way. Hee. Esp when she smiles and shows how she can be a cheerful, happy baby. =)
This month, she really grew alot! Hee. My little darling is growing up! Very soon, I can't do the gor gor bei already, I bet. She shocks everyone with how much she eats. No one can believe how she can gobble down more than two rice bowls of porridge for her dinner or one and a half jars of baby food. And best is yet remain slim. Hee. Judging from how much and how easily she sweats, she probably has high metabolism rate. Like me! Which is a good thing, I think.
Our parents were soooo happy to have her around this month, our little bundle of joy. Hee. Nice to hear them call "En en" or "Angel" in that joyous and classic pitch. Keke. My dad even took one entire week of leave just to spend more time with her. Hee.
Her cousins were also thrilled to see her. Here are xuanxuan jiejie and yuheng korkor with the whole family at helix bridge. Hee. My Angel is fast asleep in yeye's arms! Zzzzzzz.
And here's my niece Rena with my bro and sis in law. Hee. Nana really knows how to pose for the camera! So cute. Hee. It's the first time Angel is seeing all her cousins in person!
We tried sooo hard to take a nice pic of Rena and Angel. Super duper hard. This is probably the best already. Haha. Well, the next time they meet, they'll both be so big already!
And well for myself, much as I would have loved to go ktv or clubbing at least once in that month, I didn't eventually. Becos' Angel would wake up in the night looking for mummy, and no one else but mummy. So I really couldn't bear to let her cry and not see me when she wakes up. So, all I did was dinners, suppers and gatherings at friend's house. The lucky jw got to go pubbing every week, sang ktv and played casino overnight. Well, what to do. It's the price of being a mum. I kinda started to detest alcohol abit already after all the incidents we had. Haha. Amazing right. Shuang saying this. I'm only still gian to go clubs to dance, but not to get overly high and drunk liaoz. Well, I can only say I changed.

Nothing is more important to me now than my little precious angel. Well, of cos I still love my parents and my hubby is still very important to me. But, I can't imagine how life would be like without my baby. She may wear me out, make me frustated, make me worried, but she is also the one who always brings a smile to my face and clears the gloomy skies away.
Well well. So much so for my sg trip. Happy belated 45th bday Singapore. Till the next time we go back! For good probably! Tata!
