We had a family gathering to celebrate Mid Autumn Fest last Saturday. The usual things happened, like buffet dinner (all cooked by the crew and their wives), Q&A session regarding the history of Mid Autumn, mooncake eating and lantern making contest. Check out the rabbit lantern that my group came up with. Hee. I thought it looked great, though bit sceptical bout whether it can really hold the candle. Keke. Junwei drew the rabbit. With pointed ears, like elf. Weird. I always draw my rabbits with rounded ears. Haha. You? Amazingly, our group won the contest because we showed the most teamwork. Haha. Yippie yay.
After dinner, we took a stroll outside with our lanterns. The kids love it! =) But some of the wives were freezing. Like me. Haha. It was under 10 degrees. Wah rauz. And it's only going to get colder and colder as each day passes. Ivy said it was 6.7 degrees on Monday morning. *gasps*
Yeah, and the gei kiang me still wore leggings out. Becos' my hubby said we will drive to the navy base in the car (which is warm) and we will be in the base from then on (which is also warm), and then go home. But when we were there, he said he forgot to tell me there will be a walk outside after dinner. Alrite. Haha. At least I was brave enough to walk one round. And then walk back inside the building with chattering teeth. Waha.
Check out our heart-shaped double he bao dan! Waha. Not on purpose. Just that it really looked like a heart. So how can I miss taking a pic of it before gulping it down..
Our piggy and moo-ey socks. Waha. Guess which is jw and which is me. Hmmm. Wifout the help of the kar moh. Waha. Yeah yeah. I'm miss piggy since I'm born in the year of the pig. And yeah, couldn't find sheepy for jw so he got the moo-ey. They help to keep us warm at nites. =)
Cold cold nites..
