Neh. These are actually crayfish. Which jw insisted that I should try. Crayfish are famous here, and when it's the crayfish season (like now), people eat alot of them! Bought these directly from the supermarket, and jw said you can just open and eat directly. Woho. Cold. Hmmm. Tastes abit like lobster, abit like prawn, and similar to our hei bo in Singapore bah. Keke. Well. At least I tried! But I'm definitely not a seafood fan. No mussels, no hum, no escargots for me. Also not a fan of crab, prawns, sotong though I will eat them. Keke. I'm still a chicken fan! Haha. Which is why I love KFC. But the nearest one to me now is in Denmark. *sob*
Our first laksa meal. Hehe. Quite nice. Yeah yeah. Jw noes I'm a chicken fan, so I already can't count how many chicken wings or chicken meat pieces I've had since we came over. ALOT. Haha. Overdosage can produce reverse effects. But hopefully not. Woho. Shall pledge my loyalty and fidelity.
Hoho. Jw had to cook 4 braised ducks for their crayfish party. 4!!! Seems like everyone loves his lu3 ya1 aka braised ducks. Yeah yeah. So zai. He learnt it from his parents. Again, I'm not a fan of lu ya, but I must say it tasted really good. Next time I shall try! Doesn't look that hard to cook it. Haha.
Somehow I felt cruel when I saw this sight. I dunno why. Hmmm. Sigh. But if I really feel guilty, I should just revert and be a vegetarian. But since I'm not ready to do that, then it means I'm not sincerely sorry for the duck. Sigh. I just feel a teeny weeny bit bad.
My first chao mee fen in my life, all whipped up by myself. Yeah. Ended up a bit dry and the colour is not fantastic, but why did I taste the feeling of xing fu when I ate it.. Haha. Jian dan que xing fu, this must be it.. Jw brought me, daniel and chionn to try out the fondue here. I initially thought it's like the chocolate fondue, but well, it's not. It's a buffet dinner, and you can select your soup flavour and choice of meat, and everything is free flow and you could just dump ur food into the fondue pots. Well. Just sounds like high class western steamboat to me. Only thing is, the soup is not really for drinking purposes. The fondue cost on average 220kr per pax, which is over S$50. Expensive meal.
Our guest for the week, Mr Fong Chi Onn. Yeah yeah. He's staying in our guestroom now. =) Guess what, we ordered this 3smaker ice cream (meaning you can select 3 flavours) from the famous ice cream shop in town. 1maker cost 25kr, 2 smaker 30kr, and 3smaker 35kr. So, normal pple will at least get a 2smaker or 3smaker. We decided to get 3. and they gave us 3 scoops per flavour, so ended up we had 9 scoops. Waha. But it's really yummy though! Love the marang flavour. *drools* Oh yeah, I'm an ice cream fan too!
We had an Indian meal for dinner last night at a nearby restaurant. Lamb curry, chicken curry, vege curry. Woho. Curry curry curry. Plus tandoori grill. Jw says we dun really noe how to cook Indian curry, so we quite cherish the times we get to taste such food. It's quite delicious too!!
Oh yeah. My fav. Papadum!!! Realised I really love it. Hoho. Even nicer than prawn crackers. Yummy!!!
End of food entry. Till the next time!!
