Here's where we played bowling. Some super ulu place which look to me like containers more than anything. But well, nice to noe that at least there's a bowling alley here. Oh btw, in the end I was the only wife who bowled. *duh* There was Jackie who said she will only "wash the drain" if she bowls, Kexin who just got pregnant, Seline who had 3 kids with her to take care of, one of which is a newborn. Alamak. Another wife Aizhen did try a couple of times, but I was the only one who had my name entered and I was supposed to represent the team. We had 3 lanes, 5 pax in each lane, and it was a battle to see which of the 3 teams had the highest combined score after 2 games. Well. Yes. I'm one of the 15 people. Argggh. I think I will just lian lei my whole team. HAHA. Luckily jw was in the same team, so I guess he can help to make up my score.
Well. I did "wash the drains" a couple of times too. And whenever I get a spare, I will hit ZERO pins at my next turn. I dunno why. Jw said why I always waste my spares. Sob. Aniwae, I had a combined score of 160. (hmmm, for 2 games yar, not 1). So my average was 80. Not that bad, rite? Haha. I wasn't the worst scorer leyyy. Though I think I must have been a close second. The best and worse scorers both got a prize. And guess what, my team actually won the best team! Thanks to Kester and jw, each of them got nearly 300 points in total for the 2 games . Woho. We won for ourselves a notebook and a mousepad. Keke.
Well, we also travelled to Vaxjo to get my Visa. Used the GPS tracking system for the first time in my life. It's kind of cool, though sometimes you dunno whether to trust the system or your own intuition cos it will read different things from the signboards. Waha.
It was approximately an hour's drive to Vaxjo. Mainly expressways, with very little cars on the road. Such a vast difference compared to Singapore. Wonder how many ERP gantries there will be when we get back in 2011. Haha.
But hey, there are some similarities too! Hee. Here's the speeding camera. There were sooooo many cameras that at times, we really had to travel slow. Oh, and sometimes there will be a signboard that says the road ahead has several cameras, but you won't know where they are situated at so you just gotta keep to the speed limit. Haha. And the GPS system is so smart that whenever you are close to cameras, it will say "Beware, Watch Your Speed". Cool.
Cows!! We saw cows, horses, sheep along the way. So many of them. We made it a point whenever we pass them, we will wind down the windows and make their noises and see if they look up. Haha. Damn. I can only do "Moooooo.." well. "Meh, Heh, Heh, Heh" still can pass. But come to horses wise, I failed. HAHA. Damn lame, hor??? BUT well, we must think of how to keep ourselves awake right, if not sure fall asleep one. So we also played alot of pop songs and party songs and sang to our hearts' contents in the car. Woohoo. KTV KTV!!!
We bought this sushi pack from the petrol station. Jw says you don't see it toooo often, so better cherish it. Keke. Quite nice lar. The salmon quite yummy also. Hehe. But it's around 65kr, which is more than S$15. Fwah.
The blue skies and the beautiful scenery. Looks so serene.
Yeah yeah. Finally reached the migration office. Lalala. And check it out, I wore sleeveless!! Wahaha. Jw was amazed. But well, errmmm, I put on the jacket after a short while. Haha.
My Visa!! Finally. Got a super dut face in the pic which they took on the spot. Eeee. But guess wad, the validity is less than a year so I'm unable to get a personal ID in this case. Grrrrrr. Which means both of us have to re-apply our Visas to extend to a later date and come back and collect again when they are done, so that I can get my ID. Aiyohh.
Guess where we went next? Bet all of us have come to this store before. And it originates in Sweden yarrr!!!
Haha. Yeah. IKEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dunno why, but shopping in Ikea makes me happy. Maybe a feeling of nostalgia bah. And looking at furniture, deciding what to buy, (and arguing over what will look better in the house or how to re-arrange the furniture), pushing the trolleys together, well, there was some element there that makes me happy. Something I would call, Home. Haha.
Yeah, ate the meatballs! My first meatball meal in the land of meatballs. They are Yummy! Though not far off from the Spore Ikea. Also ate the salmon, and alot of potatoe. Haha. Endless potatoe. Can't finish ley. Hmmm.
Sometimes, I really wonder what I will do without a man in my life. Haha. Things will be harder I guess. I won't be able to carry so many things in Ikea, nor have the strength to shift all the trolleys of stuff to the car, not have the ability to assemble all the complicated pieces of furniture. Tables, chairs, yes i can. But the wardrobe, FWAH, that looks hard.
So we spent the entire Sat night assembling our new furniture for the house. Hehe. We spent over S$1K at Ikea! Uh oh. Hope it's all worth it.
The wardrobe. To be placed in our room. Check out the mirrors that we bought and pasted on the doors. Wahaha.
The computer table. It's PINK!!!! and the red drawers that I put together. Hehe. The chair was the easiest.
The CD rack that jw set up. YEAH. Finally a home for our DVDs and VCDs. Keke. Almost full liaoz! and more on the floor!!
Our new RED carpet and pillows! Decided a sofa will not fit nicely into our living room, so we chose this instead. Lalala. And at nites whenever we watch movies or dramas, we will lie down on this and watch.
Our new cupboard. So far it stores my books (I brought alot!), some games (like poker cards, dice, Uno etc) and alot of my art & craft materials. Love the pink and red storage boxes at the bottom. Hehe.
Last but not least, my Winnie the pooh corner. Brought these over from Spore. Gonna put this in the guestroom instead. Hehe. Along with some mini tools and table, so that next time kids can come over to our house to play. =)
Yeah. That's all for now. Hope you liked my house so far. I do!! Tata!!
