Happy things make me a happy girl...

Yeah, it's been a really happy week for me. It's all the simple things in life that add together to a giant amount of joy and bliss. So, I don't know why, but today when I was walking to Hemkop (one of the supermarkets here), I was practically skipping and my heart was pounding with joy and my face was beaming with happiness.

Let's see, what are some of the things that made this week such an enjoyable one.

1) The best news of all. Sisi gave birth!! Yeah yeah. Healthy, adorable, lovable baby boy. On 8 Sept. That was the most exhilarating piece of news!!! Wish I was there by her side and could see the baby! Woho. You go, girl! First among us to be a Mummy!!! Yeah yeah.

2) Jw and I started watching a new show, "Bi Xie Jian". Yeah, quite obvious that he chose this show. Waha. But I'm enjoying the process of watching it too. Love the way we would lie on the rug and nua to watch, and everytime when one episode ends, we will play scissors paper stone or try all kinds of methods to get the other person to go change the disc. Keke. Farnie. But honestly this kind of xing fu feeling was something I did not experience in Spore (not that I was not xing fu lar, all along I was, and am, and will be). But it's different kind of feeling here. Just two of us, in our own house, in a foreign land, well, it reallie feels different.

3) I love my Jap classes! Yeah it ain't easy with the 3 tests every week, and group work, and individual writing exercises (I have to write 10 pages of those every week!), and even sound recording exercises to test if we got the pronunciation right. BUT, it's something I love and enjoy. Waha. Makes such a difference doesn't it? When you enjoy the process, nothing seems arduous or painstaking. Instead, it's something to look forward to when you wake up every morning. Well, let's hope I can keep up the enthusiasm. Waha. Oh, and I'm starting my Swedish classes next week. Gonna travel to the school twice every week to attend the classes. Well. Not sure how swedish will be relevant and of use when I get to Singapore, but wanna try taking it up with some of the other wives here and maybe soon enough I can communicate better when i go shopping or dining here. Keke.

4) Oh yeah. Kids kids kids. I love kids, and my passion for teaching has not ceased though I have left Berries. So, starting from next month onwards, I am going to teach English and Mandarin to some kids here. It's kind of exciting for me, because for the first time, I gotta prepare my own teaching props, come up with the syllabus, and prepare their homework and all the necessary stuff like songs/videos/picture cards etc. I dunno how I am going to handle or survive it, but I am willing to give my best shot at it. And my only hope is that my efforts will really help the kids to improve their languages. The only thing is I tried to search, but there are no English (not to mention Chinese) textbooks or storybooks here that I can lay my hands on. Well. So I guess I need to do hell alot of internet research and get out my art & craft box before I am ready to begin my first class. Still, it's gonna be a great experience. =)

5) Oh yesh!! I finally got my textbooks. For both my Jap lessons and my accounting class. Yeah. Wonder what I am doing with accounting textbook right? Haha. Bo bianz, it's a module in the masters course. So by hook or by crook, I gotta digest those information pretty soon. Hope by 'Accounting and Finance for NON-SPECIALISTS', the book will be slightly easier to comprehend. Haha. Fat hope?? Mass comm graduate ley. Hmm. To admit, the assignment looks damn tough and cheem and foreign to me!! I know nuts bout those calculation stuff. And I only have the next two weeks to do some serious catching up before the deadline is up. Jia you bah. It's a challenge, and well, I will try my best! Think I have to ask jw for advice, waha, because in the least, he took up accounting before, and given his wits and high intellect, I guess he should be able to do the assignment with not much difficulty, yar? =)

6) We signed up for Mob TV yesterday. Haha. Yes, Mob TV!! Don't think that no one does okie, cos a few of us Singaporeans here do. It's a way to keep in line with local shows and still watch some of our fav local celebs. Hehe. Jw asked me to download Phua Chu Kang. Wahaha. Well, I just downloaded Fei Teng Bing Dian. Cos ivy and kenneth said the show is nice. Hehe. And yeah I bet it will be. =) Too bad I can't watch Yu Le Bai Fen Bai here. Miss it soooo much.

7) Our Starhub line finally got working last night!! Triple hooray. Which means we can finally call home and call our friends at very low charges since it's a Singapore line. OH YEAHHHH!! After months of frustration experienced by jw, somehow yesterday he and his colleague finally got it to work. Lalala. Wonderful news. Called my mum this morning, and it feels so good. Now she can call me when she wants too. Hehe! Super good news right?

See, with so many positive things that happened this week, I guess that's why I am feeling so glad. And it's Mid Autumn Festival this Sunday. Hehe. Zhong Qiu Jie Kuai Le!!! Well, though we can't be reunited with our families to eat mooncakes, we will still be thinking of them from whenever we may be. =)
