Inspirational message from Maya Angelou..


Had a real busy day today. I can feel the stress and responsibilities that are going to come tumbling down on me. Well, much as I fear it, I also welcome it with much anticipation and I hope the positive thinking will be here to stay!~ Makes life easier doesn't it? Learning is a lifelong process, and I'm so glad I'm learning bit by bit as I move along in my career.

Oh, & today 31st Oct marks the end of probation for me & Elvina!! Woohoo. Time zooms by! Goodie, now I can plan to take leave in Dec and go overseas with jw. Keke. Never mind if it's not Tokyo (yeah yeah we are too broke for that), even if it's Hong Kong, Taiwan or even Bintan or Batam, it will still be a most wonderful trip for us. Can't wait for it to come!

Leela sent me this nice inspirational email today. How sweet. Which director bothers to share such stuff with newbies like me? I really wonder. She also showers so much care for me and even jw that I find it simply amazing. To me, she's really one of a kind and I'm so glad to be working alongside her. More like a friend and confidantee than a boss. Way cool. So I just wanna share this email with whoever might be reading my blog.

Here goes:

In April, of last year, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 74th birthday.
Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting."

Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts.
They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first. The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:

"I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow."

"I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights."
