I had the perfect idea for what to give my dad (& mum) for this year's Daddy's Day. Hehe. After our KTV session at Teo Heng (the cheap KTV at Katong Shopping Centre), I was inspired to treat them to a concert. Hehe. Yeah, three of us ACTUALLY went KTV together. Can't remember when we did that, must have been many years ago. So I was really happy and excited that day, plus we went to eat Katong Laksa on the way. I love Katong Laksa! With no jw around since last year, it's been ages since I got to taste it. Hehe.
I surprised my parents with many Canto songs and a Hokkien song (Ai Dio Jia Zai Tia by Huang Yi Ling that I learnt from Huimin). HAHAHA. Purposely one. If not they always say I dunno dialects. Keke. Sang so many oldies like Wu Yan De Jie Ju, Yi Zhong Gan Jue, Xuan Zhe, Ku Sha, Zai Yu Zhong etc. Fun! Wish jw was here though, he could have sung the Chen Lei songs. Hehe.
Anyway, I am digressing. Okie. Back to Daddy's Day, what better present than to treat them to the concert of the original singers who sang Yu Yan De Jie Ju??? Wahaha. Ta-Dah. Yeah I know you dunno who they are. Soooooo, let me announce. They are Li Mao Shan and Lin Shu Rong! & they are having their concert here at Singapore Expo on 7 June.
So I went to book two tix online. Cost me $202! But quite good seats for this category, so I was quite happy. & right after I booked, I had another perfect idea. Why not get jw's parents to go along too and let the four of them have a good time together? wahaha. So, I dished out my idea to jw and he approved immediately. Keke. I called sistic to book 2 more tickets so that they can all sit side by side. Yeah. So we spent a total of $404!! Haha. Quite a spendthrift for a couple who's holding their banquet next month rite. But well, even if I exhaust my savings, it's worth it if it brings a smile on my beloved mummy's and daddy's faces.
Hope they'll enjoy it!! Will bring all 4 of them for dinner first before the concert. & after they enter the max pavillion I will make my way to St James to meet Haz and Huimin. Haha. Good plan!!~
