I thought that honeymoons were supposed to be sweet and romantic from the start to the end, and to me, it should be a magical journey filled with just love and laughter in the air and absolutely nothing else.. Well, naive as usual.. But don't get me wrong, we had a fabulous, lovely, wonderful honeymoon ultimately, though in the process the moon wasn't so honey afterall because we had a few squabbles over trivial matters.. Yeah yeah, typical mars and venus disputes.. But like I said before, I guess that's how a couple life should be.. =) And yesh, looking back, it was a perfect honeymoon for us.. =) woohoo.. Thanks dear, for such wonderful memories which will last me for a lifetime..
NEW YORK CITY 20 Dec - 26 Dec 08Wonderful time spent with er jiu jiu and family, especially with cousin trisha, my dear little cousin whom we've only met once in the 8 years of her life, at my wedding. So it was really nice to gather in NY and play games together and chat so much bout her life. I muz say jw is really very li hai, he bonded so well with them in such a short time! My super sociable hubby, of whom I'm really proud of. =) We had fun drinking beer, playing mj, touring around Times Square/Brooklyn/Chinatown/Broadway/Rockafellar Centre, shopping in Woodbury, taking the ferry to visit Statue of Liberty, and climbing up to the top of Empire State Building.

My er jiu jiu, jiu mu and cousin Trisha! Love their xmas tree, and excited to spend the first xmas with them in NY. Thanks for the accommodation and all the meal treats! We practically spent nothing on meals! =) Woooo, and I got a free haircut! Hee..

My first white xmas.. Snow everywhere!

Us and the happily snacking Trisha as we await for the ferry to Staten Island..

Ta-dah!! The world famous statue!!

On top of Empire State Building.. Cold but pretty! We preferred Eiffel though.. =)

In Times Square.. Such a happening and brightly lit up place!!

One of my fav places.. The nicely decorated houses in Brooklyn, what efforts they put in! Wow!
LAS VEGAS 26 Dec - 29 Dec 08One of the prettiest places I've even been to. Vegas rox!! We love the night scenery and all the pretty hotels and the night life and of coz, all the activities found there! =) Well, it's called Sin City for a reason. Keke. Oh yeah, and the city that doesn't sleep. That's true. We joined in the culture and only slept for 4 hours on the first nite, 4 hours on the 2nd nite, and tawned throughout on the 3rd. Woohoo! We don't gamble very very often, but how can you not when you are in Vegas right? Good thing jw and I have similar interests, and we almost always sit in the same table and play together. Hee. I love those moments dear, even though we lost. =) Oh and my favourite hotels will be Paris and Venetian!! Really really awesome. Maybe it's coz we visited Paris and Venice last year, that's why they brought back such sweet memories..

The hotel we stayed at, Circus Circus! Not bad, we could watch acrobatic performances for free! =) And the room cost only 47USD per night. Keke.

The giant jackpot which brought us good luck on the 1st night. Keke. Yeah only the 1st. But we still won from this machine. =) I loved to pull the giant handle!

Outside the Venetian, such pretty views that I just had to video them down.

We watched our first O show together,
Le Rêve, at Wynn.
Le Rêve means "The Dream" in French, and the name of the centerpiece painting that Steve Wynn owns,
Le Rêve by Picasso. It is set in a one million-gallon (water) capacity theatre and features diving and feats of strength with state-of-the-art special effects. Well, both of us are not broadway show lovers, but this show was really incredible and we were really impressed by everything. Woohoo!!

My fav shot! Mini Eiffel at Paris hotel! Feels like we are back to the real Paris, where we took dozens of such shots, but well you know, they got stolen in the end. Sob. So it was nice to relive that moment in Vegas. Woohoo!!~ We love Vegas!!
LOS ANGELES 29 Dec 08 - 5 Jan 09Things slowed down a little when we arrived at LA, because we had more time on our hands and could take it leisurely, and well, there were no casinos for us to rush to and fro to. Keke. It was a different kind of holiday here, visiting Universal Studios, Disneyland, Santa Monica etc and a truly enjoyable time for us.

We stayed at Rodeway Inn in Hollywood and it was really a good location. The inn had a king sized bed, a clean room, and I guess that was more than what we could ask for. Everyday we walked to Hollywood! =) Here we were, at the Avenue of Stars where there were many mascots for photo taking opportunities (provided you tip!). =) I managed to catch 'Scream' and 'Mr Incredible' without tipping. Keke.

And oh yeah, we tipped Optimus Prime because jw really wanted to take a pic with it. And he was kind enough to offer to let me take with him too. =)

We visited three museums in Hollywood, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Guiness World of Records, and the Wax Museum. Well, the thing I like bout these visits is we could fool around and try to come up with silly poses. =) Woho!

One of jw's fav shots. With Jim Carrey!! Oh we watched his Yes Man movie in Hollywood. Not bad!! =)

At Universal Studios, after watching the Terminator show, one of the best we felt. =)

The Mummy Ride!!~ Roller coaster which goes frontwards then backwards in super dark tunnel. Arghh..

We always visited souvenir shops, to buy magnets. Haha. Jw's hobby. We MUST get a magnet for almost every place we visit. Woohoo. Now our fridge is almost filled up liaoz.

At Disneyland, the magical land with of wonders. Somehow I preferred the Disney in Japan, it was prettier and more appealing to me, but well, nothing beats going to Disneyland with your spouse during your honeymoon, even if it means queueing up for 1.5 hrs just to get entrance tickets! *keke*

The pretty pretty castle

And yesh, the fantastic fireworks at the end of the night. I was so afraid they were going to cancel it due to rainy weather like they did in Tokyo. Luckily not. Woohoo. We loved the fireworks!!~

At Santa Monica Pier. One of the places I most wanted to visit. Love the sunset the second time we went. =) And sadly dear didn't get to fish like he wanted to because the shop that rented rods was closed! arghhh..

At Getty Centre with dear friend junwei. Thanks for putting us up for the two nights! Though the sofa was a tight fit, it was pretty cosy. Keke. =)

The last place we visited, the Aquarium at Long Beach. I knew jw loved aquariums, and we spent a good 4hours there I think. Well worth the entrance fee. Hee. Wooo that's a huge stingray!

A wonderful trip, an eternal memory. Thanks for everything you did, dear. Hope you loved it as much as I did. =) Oh, the only regretful thing is we didn't manage to go clubbing anywhere in neither of the cities. Arrghhh. But it's okie. Waha. It was still absolutely lovely. Ta-dah!!
